当初上帝造人之前，先造了驴子，他对驴子说：你吃草，任务是负重，寿命是50年，行不行。
驴子说：不行，只吃草，还要干活，我只要活二十年就行了。
上帝答应了他的要求。
接着上帝又造了猴，他对猴子说：你吃野果，工作是从一颗树上跳到另一颗树上来取悦于人，寿命是三十年，行不行。
猴子说：不行，我只要十五年就行了，上帝也答应了他的要求。
接着上帝又造了狗，他对狗说，你吃剩饭，任务是给主人看家，寿命是20年，行不？狗说：不行，我只要十年。
上帝同样答应了狗的要求。
最后上帝造了人。
他对人说：你锦衣玉食，任务是统治世间万物，但你的寿命只有二十年，行不？人说：不行，我寿命太短了，你把驴子的三十年，猴子的十五年和狗的十年都给我吧。
上帝也答应了人的要求。
结果人在无忧无虑中度过了二十年，之后人不得不过上了驴子的生活

1
上帝在创造牛的时候，对牛说道：“你可以活60年，但要一生为人类干活。”
牛说：“这太累了，我不要活这么长，一半的时间就够了。”
于是牛放弃了30年的生命，只愿活到30岁。

第二次，上帝创造了猴子，他对猴子说道：“你可以活30年，但要一生被人类逗着玩儿。”
猴子说：“这太残酷了，我不要活这么长。一半的时间就够了。”
于是猴子放弃了15年的生命，只愿活到15岁。

第三次，上帝创造了狗，他对狗说道：“你可以活30年，但要一生为人类看家。”
狗说：“这太无趣了，我不要活这么长。一半的时间就够了。”
于是狗放弃了15年的生命，只愿活到15岁。

第四次，上帝创造了人类，他对人类说道：“你的工作就是尽情享受人生。这种生活，我给你25年寿命。”
可是人类对上帝说：“这太短了！我不要活这么短！”
上帝说：“那么我把牛所放弃的30年寿命、狗所放弃的15年寿命、猴子所放弃的15年寿命统统给你吧。”

25岁前，活的是自身的寿命，所以无忧无虑，十分快乐；
25~55岁，活的是牛的寿命，一味只知道工作，受尽了世上的磨难，为了养家糊口，受苦受累，吃的少，干的多；
56~70岁，活的是猴子的寿命，退休了在家中像猴子一样，哄哄孙童，逗小孩开心；
71~85岁，活的是狗的寿命，干不动了，只能坐在家里，很少出门，像狗一样看好自家门院！
